This summer The Salvation Army summer staff spent time hanging out with a few great Elkhart County kids.

Each week, The Salvation Army of Elkhart provides assistance to those who need it, and spiritual support to anyone who seeks it. We provide many community programs as well! Contact us for the latest details.

Essential Services

The Elkhart Salvation Army provides many types of assistance programs to the people in Elkhart, Lagrange and Steuben counties. We have utility, rent, and Christmas assistance programs.  Each weekday morning, we serve a free community breakfast and we recently began a “Mobile Manna” program, delivering fresh food to homebound seniors who qualify.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry is available to those in need of supplemental pantry items. It offers a large selection of both perishable and non-perishable items. In order to receive Food Pantry assistance, one must have: Indiana ID, Social Security Cards for everyone in the household, food stamps print out, and proof of all income for everyone in the household. 

Pathway of Hope

Pathway of Hope is a unique case management program offering help to link and coordinate services within The Salvation Army along with community agencies. This approach is intended to specifically assist families with minor children. Families participating in the Pathway of Hope will receive support from a caring team in setting and achieving their own goals.
