Feast to Feed is Sunday, August 19
Feast to Feed is a community event designed to benefit the food ministries of The Salvation Army and St. John’s Episcopal Church, all while enjoying Elkhart’s beautiful downtown. This farm-to-table outdoor meal will feature the fine cuisine of Kurt Janowsky through Elkhart’s Artisan restaurant, served at one long table in Central Park.
Last year more than 120 tons of food was provided through food pantries, community breakfasts, and mobile services by The Salvation Army and St. John’s, helping over 51,000 friends and neighbors in Elkhart. In today’s economy, we are sometimes surprised to learn that the need is still great, and it is especially easy to overlook it in the middle of the summer. But Elkhart is truly the city with a heart and this event helps to keep us from forgetting those who still need a hand.
